Greater Neb. Athletic Conf. Tourney
Kearney Bearcat wrestling team had a slow start saturday at the "Greater Nebraska Atheletic Conference Meet" with a large number of byes the first round. Kearney had a great semi final round taking 12 out of the 13 wrestlers into the finals, but the finals wasn't so kind, bearcats won 3 out of the 12 finals matches.
Individual Conference Champions for the Bearcats were, 103 Hunter Bamford, 145 Matt Driml, & 189 Shawn Cherry
Team scoring: Kearney 237.5, Norfolk 214, Columbus 213, North Platte 123.5, McCook 101, Scottsbluff 84, Lexington 64, Hastings 47.

Conference & District Info

Conference is at Lexington Saturday, Feb. 6 with competition starting at 11:00 am. Schools: Columbus, Hastings, Kearney, Lexington, McCook, Norfolk, North Platte, and Scottsbluff. Admission is $6.00. Break after 2nd round consolations.

Districts is at Omaha Creighton Prep High Heeder Center 7400 Western Avenue at 10 am, Saturday, Feb. 13. Admission is $8 adults, students $6,20
Directions: From I-80, take 680 North to W Dodge Exit, head east to 72nd St. Turn left (north) on 72nd and go about 3/4 mile to Western Aven. Turn left (west) on Western Avenue.
Schools: Millard North, Omaha So., Papillion-LaVista So., Fremont, Creighton Prep, Lincoln North Star, Kearney, and North Platte.
